Cyber attack forces Adidas to go offline

Discovered on the day when the German firm announced its quarterly results. German sportswear and equipment maker Adidas said all its websites remained offline on Sunday following what it termed a "sophisticated, criminal" attack.

The company said their preliminary investigations had found no evidence to suggest that any consumer data had been impacted. However, stating that its forensic review was going on, it had taken down affected sites, including adidas.com, reebok.com, adidas-group.com and other "various local eCommerce shops".
According to a statement by Adidas, the incident was discovered on November 3, the day its quarterly official results were declared.

The company added, "Nothing is more important to us than the privacy and security of our consumers' personal data." "We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time".
